First Spring/Summer Haul

Hey everyone!
So I've decided that I would like to dedicate another sector of my blog to FASHION!  Yes fashion. :)
Personal style is something that I really value and like my interiors I LOVE to mix my vintage, thrifted and modern finds together to create my own personal style.

So with that said, I will go ahead into my first Spring/Summer Haul of the year!
Forever 21 is absolutely one of my go tos, especially for more of the "trendy items".
They are just a great affordable resource.

First item on the list are these great pair of leggings.  I love florals for spring but I feel like these with the black background give your spring wardrobe a little edge.  They look great paired with a denim shirt or a loose fitted tee. Plus they will still keep you warm on those chilly nights you are sure to encounter in early Spring!
You can get them here > Dreamy Floral Leggings

Then we have the next item, a graphic tee, I got per recommendation of MakeUp By Tiffany D and I just LOVE it.  It's "cheetah print" ;) (haha), muscle style tee with cute little cheetahs all over!  Such a simple neutral tee could be pared with just about anything.  I even wore it to work with tapered grey dress pants, a black blazer and cute cheetah/leopard printed shoes!  You can get it here > Cheetah Print Muscle Tee

The next couple of items are hair accessories!  I just LOVE both of these, they are so fun and I got them both for less than $8! Such a great deal!  The first one has a fun green and pink horse print and the second is a floral shear fabric woven with a gold chain.  I can't wait to wear both of these and they will add that little something to perhaps an otherwise simple outfit.  You can get these here > Whimsical Horse Headwrap & Ethereal Chain Woven Headband

What kind of haul would this be without a great pair of shoes!?  I am loving these strappy nude/pale pink wedges I found.  They will be a perfect touch to all my spring outfits!  They have a little bit of a subtle gladiator feel to them which is in right now.  They also come in black which I may have to get as well.  You can get them here > Cutting Edge Wedge Sandals

And last but not least I got this really cute PJ set!  I think Forever's PJ sets are just so cute and great.  Inexpensive and SO comfortable!  The top is grey and reads "Bon Voyage!" in Script and the shorts are white with little travel graphics!  Another great thing is you can pair the loose tee with some jeans and make a great outfit with it as well! Unfortunately this particular set is sold out but you can get similar sets here > PJ Sets

In total I only spent around $73 dollars (you always get free shipping on orders over $50 btw) So I feel like I got quite a lot for that amount!  Be sure to stay tuned for another Spring/Summer haul in a few weeks!  Hoping the next one includes more vintage/thrifted items as well as swimwear and shorts! (in which I will probably want more of this year)
Will share why later on ;) Until then thanks so much for reading!

First Home.

Such a big step in a persons life, owning their very first home.  I am very much excited to begin this journey, so boyfriend in toe, we will start moulding this beautiful specimen of self expression, and personal style into our own!
As an Interior Designer I have dreamed of the day I would have my own home but I have to say, there is a part of me that does so with a heavy heart...

You see my first home happens to also be my grandparents house.  Since they have passed in the last year it became available for new (family) ownership, and I felt I was finally ready to have my own place.  I had always admired and loved the home, not only because it was theirs, and had all sorts of fond memories, but the actual style of the home is very much what I find to my liking.

A one level ranch with full basemen, it was build in 1978, with mid-century lines and rock-work galore!
Loving it was effortless, the hard part was beginning to go in and change an interior that has looked the way it has my entire life (as much as I realized in simply must be done).

So I began small.  Once me and my mom, and family, had gone through some things together I actually felt like I could just clean and move in a few items. (hence the mid-century modern furniture) ;)  Once that was done I had some friends over for a small gathering, an "empty house party" and it all slowly started to become more real to me.

So, with all of that said, here are some interior photos of some of the existing rooms:

Living Area:

Main Bedroom:

Main Bathroom:

There are a couple of spaces (including the basement) that are not shown but hey, I've got to save something for later! I will also eventually be sharing with you the exterior of the home.

I just love it SO much!  Problem is...it doesn't really feel like mine...
Carpet in the bathroom aside there is honestly nothing about the home that I absolutely hate, which my seem weird, but I am into that whole "retro thing".  However, having already looked at these rooms for my entire life, some pretty major changes are going to be in the works!  We've (me and boyfriend) decided that we are going to redo the bathroom and the bedroom first (before we move in).  We want to keep some of the interiors best attributes and add to them current finishes which will combine to make an updated version of an older bathroom.  With that said, we need your best remodeling tips! :)

I can't wait to share and keep you posted on our home's progress!
STAY TUNED!
P.S. Did I mention I work in a tile store now!?
