Lime Green Walls and Shaggy Brown Carpet

So basically let me RE-introduce myself...

My name is Maegan. (< middle name, blame my mom)
Grew up in North Carolina my whole life, between two small towns, Pinnacle and King.
Striving to find my true full and unique calling in life and I search for it all the time!
I went to Appalachian State University, in Boone NC, for Interior Design (third college is the charm).  I first knew I wanted to be an Interior Designer when my mom let me help re-do my room in the 5th grade ( so like 15 years ago).  I guess I was about 11, and heading off to middle school soon.  I just remember how fulfilling and fun it was to re-do that room with her and choose my paint (lime green!) and see the results, and I just LOVED it! (Brown shaggy carpet and all!)  All the way up until when we moved to King when I was 15.  Then I got to do a whole other room!
(which we might get to later)
It seems simple enough although I think most people think there is just no way anybody knows what they want to do that early in life!
Well I have decided that I am not anybody...

Heres some pics of my original bedroom... (yikes)
I have come I LONG way with my style since then! :P
Pretty good for an 11-12 year old?? haha

So what am I up to currently?
Well like I said...kinda sorta still figuring that out but I think I am getting closer and closer and it has been a pretty fun journey!
After school (classes) I landed an Internship with one of the (oldest) most reputable designers of Winston-Salem, Mr Bruce Anderson of Idlewild House and he got me started on this whole real world design journey of mine.  (old but still valuable perspective on design)  At least he was MODERN, you don't know how hard it has been to watch this town be so far behind the rest of the world! (in the interiors sense of coarse)
After my internship with Bruce I landed a job with Deca Interiors and I have been settled there for about two years...until well, Thursday...
She is restructuring the company and looks like they no longer needed me...but no worries I suppose.  It was never quite a good fit.  So when I found out on Friday I went home (sort of shocked) I was upset for maybe an hour and then prayed about it.  That it be his will and the best thing for me.  I cleaned the house and applied for a position I found online and cleaned some more...  But as of yesterday I have an interview tomorrow morning sooooo lets do this!  Wish me luck!

Looks like my job is one of the many changes I am dealing with this year!
(We will get to the rest another time...)
All for now loves...
